- Receiving SMS text messages containing spin codes and reward notifications
- Messages sent from LootWheel on behalf of friends, family, or partners who send you spins
- Standard message and data rates may apply based on your carrier
📋 How Opt-In Works (Peer-to-Peer)
LootWheel operates on a human-to-human, relationship-based messaging model. Every SMS is individually triggered by a person you know:
- A friend or family member (the "giver") manually enters your phone number into their LootWheel app
- The giver taps "Send Spin" to generate a unique, one-time spin code
- You receive an SMS with the spin code and a deep link to claim it
- By clicking the link and engaging with the message, you complete the opt-in process
No phone numbers are collected without explicit user action. There is no bulk messaging, no contact list uploads, and no automated broadcasts. Each message is a personal, one-to-one communication initiated by someone you know.
🤝 Relationship-Based Messaging
LootWheel is designed for existing relationships only. Typical use cases include:
- Couples sending date-night rewards to each other
- Parents rewarding children for completed chores
- Friends exchanging fun challenges and bets
- Team members recognizing achievements
Users cannot send spins to random phone numbers or strangers. The app is built for conversational, social messaging between known contacts.

You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time:
- Reply STOP to any SMS message from LootWheel — you will be immediately unsubscribed
- Reply HELP for assistance and contact information
- Contact support directly using the information below
🔒 Privacy & Data Protection
- Phone numbers are stored securely and encrypted at rest in Firebase Firestore
- We do not share phone numbers with third parties except for SMS delivery (Twilio)
- Phone numbers are only used for spin code delivery and related notifications
- Users can request deletion of their data at any time through the app
📊 Message Frequency
Message volume is inherently low-frequency and user-controlled. There is no automated or scheduled messaging. A typical user receives 1–5 messages per week, entirely dependent on how often their friends or family choose to send spins.
